Analyzing Media Representation of Women in Conflict Zones
Despite the crucial role women play in facing social and political challenges, media coverage often excludes them from balanced representation, portraying them mainly as victims while neglecting their leadership in resilience, reconstruction, and decision-making.
This campaign aims to monitor and analyze media content, exposing the existing biases and discrimination in reporting and urging media institutions to adopt a more just approach.
Through analytical reports, awareness campaigns, and media capacity-building workshops, we seek to promote a more accurate and comprehensive portrayal of women in the media, ensuring their representation reflects their real-life contributions. Additionally, we aim to hold media organizations accountable for their role in shaping narratives that reinforce gender equality and dismantle stereotypes, especially in times of crises and conflicts.
Our campaign is not just about documenting existing biases but calls for a fundamental shift in media discourse—one that acknowledges women’s capabilities and ensures their rightful presence in the public sphere.
